Women's Center Scholarships
Women's Center scholarship applications are now closed for 2018-19 academic year. Please check out the How To Apply For Financial Aid & Scholarships website for more information on applying for the 2019-20 school year.
Women's Center scholarship applications must be submitted online through the WSU scholarship application link located in your student eWeber portal. If you qualify for any of the following scholarships make sure to state the name of the scholarship/s in the activity field of the WSU online scholarship application (i.e. Jane Breen Holmes, Waterstradt). The Women's Center will contact you for further information if you qualify.
» Altrusa Club Scholarship
The scholarship recipient must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Maybe a resident or non-resident student and may be enrolled full or part-time. Academic performance and financial need will also be determining factors. Preference will be given to single female students with dependent child(ren).
» Jane Breen Holmes Scholarship
The scholarship recipient must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and cannot be receiving other scholarship funding. The recipient will demonstrate through the application that they have clear academic and career goals and are focused on obtaining a degree which will provide an immediate marketable skill that is in high demand. Preference will be given to single parents with dependent age children who have registered and/or participate in the Women's Center.
» New Beginnings Scholarship
The scholarship recipient must be a full-time student, have a minimum of 24 earned credit hours, and a 3.0 GPA, and be a Utah resident and US citizen. Applicants interested in this scholarship will need to write a letter of need to the scholarship committee, addressing the obstacles he/she has had to overcome to continue or start their university education and the plans they have in the future to use their education. Preference will be given to single parents.
» Sue Westenskow Scholarship/Women in Business
The scholarship recipient must be a Junior or Senior with financial need and a 3.0 GPA or higher who is a Utah resident and US citizen and registered and participating with the Women’s Center. Maybe attending full or part-time. An essay on community service experience(s) is required.
» T. Wells Scholarship
Full-time enrollment (12-18 credits/semester), minimum GPA of 3.2, must be a U.S. citizen/affidavit, majoring in the school of Business/Economics, and have unmet financial need.
» Waterstradt Scholarship
The scholarship recipient must be a full-time, junior or senior female student, age 25 or older, with a declared major, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, be a resident of Weber, Box Elder or Morgan County, and provide documentation of financial need. Applicants are asked to submit a letter of need. Excluded majors are: business, physical education, and nursing.

The Women's Independence Scholarship Program helps survivors of intimate partner abuse obtain an education that will, in turn, offer them the chance to secure employment, personal independence, and self-sufficiency.
Stella H. Oaks Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship recipient must be a single mother with minor children at home and enrolled in a certificate or degree program at a legitimate educational institution, that will increase her earning power. Priority is given to two-year programs that can quickly get recipients into the workforce.

Gump and Ayers Scholarship Fund

The Gump & Ayers Scholarship Fund (GASF), established in 1996 in memory of Marjorie B. Gump, provides a one-time scholarship to a Utah woman who is a high-school graduate and who is a single mother pursuing higher education to provide tools for the financial security and support of herself and her family. Applications are distributed to Utah colleges and universities annually in November and are due March 5. The P.E.O. Sisterhood is a philanthropic educational organization which promotes educational opportunities for women. The GASF is administered by the P.E.O. Foundation and Utah State Chapter of P.E.O. Sisterhood - www.peoutah.org. GASF funds are available after July 1.
P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship

The International Peace Scholarship Fund, established in 1949, is a program which provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada.
