Soroptimist International of Ogden (SIO) Educational Grants

Soroptimist International of Ogden (SIO) is a volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls in the local community.  Each year, thousands of determined women have left behind lives filled with poverty, domestic violence, and substance abuse in order to turn their lives around and pursue their dreams.  A signature service project of Soroptimist International of the Americas, of which SIO is one of over 1,400 clubs nation-wide, annually seeks nominees for the Live Your Dream Award.  The award is designed to recognize women who have primary financial responsibility for their families, are struggling to improve their economic status by gaining additional skills, training, or education and could use additional cash to put toward tuition, books, supplies, childcare or transportation costs.  This is not a scholarship award but, rather a cash award to help offset costs.  Recipients will receive a cash award from our Ogden club.  Our local club winner will become eligible to compete for regional and international awards with cash awards of up to $10,000.

Candidates can apply online at www.soroptimist.org.  Applicants will click on the icon box “Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women”.  They need to enter zip code 84409, select the Ogden club, and click apply!  The applicants can save their application and do not need to complete it all in one sitting.
