Paying for School

Costs

Note: All WSU students pay in-state tuition over Summer Semester.

Non-Resident Tuition Exception

studentsIf an undocumented applicant has attended a high school in Utah for at least three years and has graduated from a Utah high school, they are eligible to complete the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption Affidavit, which is a non-resident tuition waiver request form also available in the Office of Admissions. This form does not grant residency, it simply waives the out of state portion of tuition as allowed by Utah state law (HB 144). Official high school transcripts or GED are required before any admission decision can be made. These records can be obtained from the office of the school attended.

Once both of these documents have been received, your name will be given to the WSU Scholarship Office to process the tuition exemption.

Undocumented applicants who did not attend or graduate from a Utah high school can still be admitted into Weber State University, however they will be assessed out-of-state tuition rates and cannot establish residency for tuition purposes until they have legalized their status in the United States and meet Utah residency requirements.
