New York has the highest population of LGBTQ people of any state. New York City is a fundamental location in history of the LGBTQ community and the LGBTQ civil rights movement. There isn't another location in the United States in which one can find such a rich intersection of LGBTQ history, issues, and community then in New York City and specifically Greenwich Village. This trip will provide students a tangible, unique and valuable experience of connecting LGBTQ history with topics of LGBTQ issues, struggles, and contemporary topics.
- Any interested student wishing to participate in this trip is welcome. All student participants will be required to complete all components of the trip. Any students with disabilities or need of accommodations should contact the program director before applying for the trip to discuss the specifics of the trip beforehand. This trip should not include any physical exertion outside of an average day on campus except for the potential of walking tours.
