Everything DiSC

Have you ever wondered why some people just don’t get you? Or ever thought, “I cannot even begin to know what my boss needs -- even when I ask her, I still don’t know.”

Everything DiSC® helps you build more effective working relationships based on an understanding of different behavioral styles. Everything DiSC is not a test; it is a personality assessment. This research-validated model helps you understand yourself and others, saving you time, energy and money. Better employee communication means efficiency on both individual and company levels.

DiSC is a very simple -- and memorable -- model made up of four basic styles:

  • D: Dominance
  • I: Influence
  • S: Steadiness
  • C: Conscientiousness

Everyone is a blend of all four DiSC styles -- usually one, two, or even three styles stand out. Unlike simple personality tests, there is no perfect DiSC style. Since each person has a unique behavioral profile, people are walking around all over the world with different styles and priorities. Once you assess these differences and harness their value, you’ll have better workplace communication and healthier organizations.

The SBDC offers a suite of Everything DiSC assessments:

  • Work of Leaders: Leadership-specific profile assessment
  • 363 for Leaders: Gathering focused, constructive feedback that a leader can actually use
  • Everything DiSC Workplace: Workplace-specific profiles to improve employee effectiveness
  • Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team: Discover what it takes to build a truly effective team

Custom Fit Funds

The Utah Legislature allocates Custom Fit funds each year to encourage companies to pursue and afford training that will maintain and grow Utah’s businesses and economy. These funds are distributed through the Custom Fit Training & Workforce Development Program. The mission of Custom Fit is to support economic workforce development through training partnerships between Utah companies and the Utah College of Applied Technology (UCAT). For Weber County, those funds are administered by the Ogden-Weber Tech College, and in Davis County, the Davis Applied Technology College. In addition to the leadership development programs already low cost, if your company is a for-profit business in Weber, Davis or Morgan County, and in need of upgrade training for leadership and/or employees, Custom Fit may be able to reimburse a portion of your training cost. 363 For Leaders

Everything DiSC 363® for Leaders isn’t just any 360. It combines the best of 360s with the simplicity and power of DiSC, plus three strategies for improving leadership effectiveness. The result is a 360 experience that’s more productive and satisfying.

For many leaders, 360s can be a frustrating experience. At best, open-ended comments can be unfocused and unhelpful. At worst, they’re a way to anonymously take a jab at a colleague. And ultimately, they can even derail the learning process. With Everything DiSC’s 363 For Leaders’ exclusive selectable comments feature, CommentSmart, raters can give focused, balanced, constructive feedback—that the leader can actually use. This time-saving option allows raters to expand on their ratings by choosing from a list of highly-tested comments.

Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders combines clear visuals and a conversational narrative style to interpret and explain the data, making the report easy to understand and use.

With a lot of 360s, the leader’s response can be, “Now what?” Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders answers that question by giving leaders their next steps with the three things they can focus on now—strategies to improve their leadership effectiveness that can be put into action immediately.

The Ogden Small Business Development Center at Weber State University is pleased to not only provide an opportunity for small business leaders to take the Everything DiSC 363 For Leaders® assessment, but also receive free personalized coaching based on assessment results.
