A milestone at WSU: 30 years of sales excellence

Happy New Year! For those on a calendar selling year, your plans to meet 2015 sales goals and objectives are already under way. For many in sales it’s described as getting back on the treadmill; the running never stops.
Each new year brings changes and the opportunity for growth. The same is true for us at the Professional Sales Department at Weber State University. Rick Dove, a valued and long-time faculty member, has retired and we wish him well. Dr. Blake Nielson has joined the faculty from Missouri Southern State University and will be a great addition to our sales team.
The Alan E. Hall Center for Sales Excellence begins its second full year of operations and we’ve seen great success to date. We have many industry partners joining our efforts, providing great insight, direction and opportunities for our students. With nearly 600 students in the Professional Sales Department; the opportunity as a partner to find the right sales talent is better than ever.
As a refresh to the weekly Smart Sales column in 2015, we will be sharing the opportunity to contribute across our faculty and staff. Each week a different faculty member will highlight their expertise and thoughts on sales topics that are relevant in today’s market. Starting next week you’ll hear from our department chair, Carl Grunander.
The start of a new year always brings hope, optimism, and opportunities for success. Here’s to great success and selling in 2015.
