English Accuplacer Placement
If you did not take the ACT in the past 48 months, or you would like to challenge your automatic placement, you should take the ACCUPLACER Reading Comprehension and Sentence Skills tests to find your placement.
Non-native English speakers: Visit Weber State's ESL Pathways through the International Student & Scholar Center. Contact Mary A. Machira at email@example.com or 801-626-6839 for more information.
ACCUPLACER uses adaptive technology to tailor the test to your skill level by increasing or decreasing difficulty based on your responses to previous questions.
You may take ACCUPLACER up to 2 times within a 12-month period.
This table shows where your ACCUPLACER scores place you:
ACCUPLACER Score Range

Completing your Composition Requirement
Your placement shows where you need to begin in one of these course sequences to fulfill your English Composition requirement:
- ENGL 0900 → ENGL 0955 → ENGL 1010 → ENGL 2010 or
- ENGL 0900 → ENGL 0955 → ENGL 1010 → ENGL 2015 or
