If you did not take the ACT in the past 48 months, or you would like to challenge your automatic placement, you should take the ACCUPLACER Reading Comprehension and Sentence Skills tests to find your placement.

ACCUPLACER Testing
ACCUPLACER uses adaptive technology to tailor the test to your skill level by increasing or decreasing difficulty based on your responses to previous questions.
ACCUPLACER Fee and Test Information
You may take ACCUPLACER up to 2 times within a 12-month period.

Completing your Composition Requirement
Your placement shows where you need to begin in one of these course sequences to fulfill your English Composition requirement:
- ENGL 0900 → ENGL 0955 → ENGL 1010 → ENGL 2010 or
- ENGL 0900 → ENGL 0955 → ENGL 1010 → ENGL 2015 or
- ENGL 0900 → ENGL 1005 → ENGL 2010 or
- ENGL 0900 → ENGL 1005 → ENGL 2015
To satisfy your Composition requirement, you must earn a C or better in ENGL 2010 or ENGL 2015. Some Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees only require successful completion of ENGL 1010 or ENGL 1005.
