Weber State University suspended all classes from March 13-17 after Utah Governor Gary Herbert asked all higher education schools in Utah to move to virtual course delivery. Beginning March 18th, your classes will be delivered remotely using Canvas and various WSU-supported systems.

Instructor Updates

Your instructor is your best resource for understanding how your class will function online. In most cases, istructors will use Canvas. They may not be able to respond immediately to your individual messages, so watch for class announcements. Check your Canvas Announcements, Canvas Inbox, and Wildcat Email to get messages from your instructors about how to proceed in your courses.

Testing Centers and Placement Testing

All testing centers and computer labs were closed on March 17th at 6:00 PM. Your instructors will have more information regarding tests in your online courses.

Presently, testing centers are not administering placement tests but we expect soon to have directions for students interested in math and English placement testing. Check the following website for more information:

Due to social distancing mandates, faculty will not require assessments in the classroom, in a Testing Center, or through distance and/or online proctors.

If you have questions or concerns about this, your instructor is the best person to contact.

For those of you who have scheduled exams with ProctorU, please cancel your appointment immediately. Once your exam is canceled, send an email to letting them know your instructor has canceled the exam and you are requesting a refund.

Computer Labs

Computer labs will be closed March 17th at 6:00 PM. Recognizing this decision to close computer labs impacts students who rely on access to these resources. The university is in the process of providing technology to students who lack computer resources. Students who need to check out a computer can complete the form located at Laptop Checkout.

Counseling and Psychological Services
