September 7 - Education and Health Fair, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Weber State University Community Education Center. This is a free event and all are adults and children are welcome! At the fair you can explore the possibilities in education by meeting with representatives from 28 organizations where you connect and find out more about what they have to offer. There will be interactive science, technology, engineering and math activities for kids. Plus, health information for all including pre-diabetes, depression and high blood pressure screenings. There will be Naloxone distribution, immunizations and dental care. *This event is sponsored by OgdenCAN, Ogden School District, CTE, United Way and Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital.

We are delighted to announce that Jenny Gnagey, Housing Resources & Research for OgdenCAN and Adjunct Professor of Economics at Weber State University, has had an article published in the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement. Her article, "Laying a Foundation for the Fight Against Poverty: Developing a Locally Relevant Poverty Measure with Community-Based Research," details her excellent research on the topic.
