The WSU Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) degree is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
The program provides students with knowledge and skills in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and general medical conditions. It is also designed to prepare them for careers in allied health care as certified athletic trainers.
Upon completion, students will become eligible for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination.
The MSAT program is specifically designed for students who possess a bachelor’s degree in a related allied health or exercise science area. However, students with a bachelor’s degree in a different field could enter the program after completing prerequisite coursework.
Up to four prerequisite courses can be completed during a student’s first year in the program.
