FAQ

How do I get my user ID to log-in to the eWeber portal?
Start on the WSU home page, click on the person icon in the upper right corner. This will bring up the log-in page. From here you will click on the "Need Your Wildcat Username?" link and fill in your personal information. For additional assistance, please call 801-626-7777 for IT support.

How do I register for classes?
Once you have been accepted to the program and have been assigned a student ID number, you will be able to register online through your student portal. Log-in to eWeber from the WSU home page, enter your user ID and password, then click on the "Register for Classes (Add/Drop)" icon. You can search for MPC classes by selecting Master of Professional Communication from the drop-down list. Please contact the department if you have an problems registering for courses.

How many classes should I take each semester?
Our program is designed around the schedules of working professionals. Many of our students choose to take 6 credits/semester (one class in the first block and one class in the second block). We do consider this to be making adequate progress in our program. At that pace, students will graduate in less than two calendar years! However, students may take up to 9 credits/semester (which is the WSU definition of full-time graduate studies). If students wish to take more than 9 credits/semester (i.e. more than full-time status), students must petition for an extension of their credit hours limit on a semester-by-semester basis.

Where do I find textbook information?
There are a couple of options for viewing textbook information. When viewing a specific course in the registration page, look for the link "View Textbook Information." Click on this link and you will be shown textbook titles and pricing for that course.

Once logged in to the student portal, you can also go directly to the Bookstore website and your courses will automatically populate after selecting the current semester.

How much will the program cost?
The current tuition and fees for the two-year MPC program is just under $15,000. The tuition and fees table will list cost by number of credit hours taken in a semester. The 2020-2021 tuition rate for six credit hours is $2,812. You will also find links for payment plans and loan applications on this page.

Can I take classes from other Master's programs?
You may take two elective courses from other WSU master's programs, given that all requirements have been met. Registration is limited to program students only, so you will be required to contact the specific department for a registration override. Interdisciplinary course electives must be approved by the MPC program director. For a list of classes offered, click on the "Program Requirements" link to the left. You will need to contact the department offering the course for a registration override.

Is financial aid available to graduate students?
The process to apply for financial aid is the same for graduate students as it is for undergraduates. Please visit the Graduate Financial Aid & Scholarship website for more information.
