Finding HIEEs in courses

  • Open University Catalog app in the eWeber portal
    • Click on Course Attributes on the left side of the page for an explanation of High Impact Educational Experiences attributes
  • Open University Catalog app in the eWeber portal
    • Click on Course Descriptions on the left side of the page or the Course Description app
    • Scroll through courses and look for attributes between the course number and course title
    • Or
    • Enter the attribute with quotes in the Keyword or Phrase search field

How do you know if your course is a HIEE?

  • Once you’ve registered for classes, look at your course schedule. On your list of courses, the HIEE attribute will be listed after the course number and before the course title, e.g. ANTH 3400 CRE Archaeological Laboratory Techniques
    • Some courses may have more than one HIEE attribute
  • Current HIEE attributes
    • CEL - Community Engaged Learning
    • CRE - Course Based Research
    • INT - Internship
    • SUS - Sustainability
    • GLB - Global Learning
    • CDEV - Career Development

How do you find HIEE courses in the class schedule?

  • In the eWeber portal go to Registration on the left side of the page under Categories
  • Go to the Register for Classes (Add/Drop) app
  • On the Registration webpage click Register for Classes or Search Class Schedule
    • Choose the Term
    • Click on Advanced Search
    • Enter the attribute in the Keyword (Exact Phrase) search field
