WSU Secure Setup for Mac OS X

Use the following method to connect to WSU Secure on Mac OS X devices:

  1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon on the menu bar in the upper-right.

     
  2. Select WSU Secure.

     
  3. In the pop up, enter your Wildcat username and password.
    NOTE: You may check the Remember this network option if you want your device to remember your username and password.

    Then click Join.
     
  4. The connection may take 30 seconds to establish.  Once connected successfully, you will see solid connection bars on the menu bar.

If the above instructions don't succeed, manually set up the WSU Secure profile:

  1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon on the menu bar in the upper-right.

     
  2. Select Open Network Preferences.

     
  3. Click the Advanced button.

     
  4. If you see any existing items listed for WSU Secure, WSU Guest, or eduroam under preferred networks, select them and use the minus button to remove them.  Then click the plus button.

     
  5. Enter the following information:
    Network Name: WSU Secure
    Security: WPA/WPA2-Enterprise
    Mode: Automatic
    Username: Your Wildcat username
    Password: Your Wildcat password

    Then click OK.
     
  6. Verify WSU Secure is now listed in the preferred networks.

    Then click OK.
     
  7. Next to Network Name, select WSU Secure.

     
  8. If re-prompted for credentials, re-enter your Wildcat username and password.
    NOTE: You may check the Remember this network option if you want your device to remember your username and password.

    Then click OK.
     
  9. The connection may take 30 seconds to establish.  Once connected successfully, the status will say connected.
