Upon returning from his mission, Jordan continued his higher education at Weber State. While at Weber State, he participated in many formal and informal leadership roles. He played for three years on the Weber State Tennis Club team and served as the WSUSA Chief of Staff for Lola Moli, the 2017-2018 Student Body President. In January of 2018, Jordan decided to run for Student Body President and was elected a few months later. While serving as President, Jordan also served as a member of several different boards while at Weber State, such as the Board of Trustees, Athletics, the Utah Student Association, and the WSU Alumni Association. Jordan also chaired the Student Fee and Recommendation Committee and served on the Presidential search committee. Several of Jordan’s focuses while as President and as a student were to make people feel welcome, needed, and heard. He focused on student Mental Health, student engagement with the community, and marketing for supporting all of Weber’s amazing athletic teams. Jordan wanted everyone to feel at home on Weber’s campus’, and wanted to hear students’ voices through their concerns, issues, struggles, highs and lows. Volunteering was also a large part of Jordan’s experience at Weber. He volunteered for the Lantern House Homeless shelter in Ogden, participated in Bridging the Gap, and went on a service alternative spring break trip to Hawaii.
Jordan graduated from Weber State in May of 2019 with his bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Accompanying this achievement, Jordan was also the recipient of the Friend of Public Health award from the Weber-Morgan Health Department, the Lisa Ellis Excellence in Leadership Award from the Student Involvement and Leadership Office, and the Deans Award of Excellence and Leadership from the Dumke College of Health Professions. Jordan also had unique opportunities to have several internships with the Ogden Regional Medical Center and the Weber-Morgan Health Department. Focusing on others, serving, meeting new people and engaging with them are what drives Jordan.
Currently, Jordan lives in the “valley of the sun” down in Tempe Arizona. He is working for the Mayo Clinic in the Surgical Services Business Office as a Data Analyst. He is fulfilling his lifelong dream of working at one of the greatest hospitals in the world. In December of 2020, Jordan will graduate from Arizona State University with his master’s degree in the Science of Healthcare Delivery. Jordan will always bleed purple, but loves being a part of the Sun Devil nation.

Jordan Slater Bio: Jordan is an Ogden native. In 2013, he graduated from Fremont High School in Plain City, Utah. While at Fremont High, Jordan excelled in the classroom and on the tennis court as a regional singles title winner. After high school, Jordan started his education at Weber State University for a year before volunteering to serve an LDS Mission in Washington D.C. Jordan is a very active individual who has many hobbies. Some of Jordan’s hobbies include tennis, volleyball, paddle boarding, hiking, and swimming.
