PURPOSE

At the Wildcat Investors Club, we focus on learning about investing, growing our network, facilitating creative discussion, and managing our own portfolio. We welcome all levels of financial/investment acumen, with the hope that you will come out of club meetings with something you can take with you into your personal and professional life. Come enjoy pizza with us, meet a professional, and learn what you want to learn about investing.

  • YUHONG FAN

    Yuhong Fan joined the faculty of Weber State University in 2005 and currently serves as an associate professor of finance at the School of Accounting & Taxation. She is also the faculty advisor of Wildcat Investors Club. In addition to BE and ME degrees, Fan holds a PhD in finance from Old Dominion University.

    She teaches Personal Finance, Investments, and Investment Problems courses in the Goddard School’s undergraduate program. Her research interest is on managed funds, such as mutual funds' characteristics and performance. 

    Fan is a CFA charterholder and a member of the SLC CFA Society.

  • MIKHAIL BERLAY
    president

    The experience of being a small business owner allowed me to wear multiple hats from sourcing raw materials and customer service to HTML coding and creating CAD files for CNC machines. After dealing with problems every day you learn that it is just another obstacle, and you are blessed if you have teammates that share your vision, who can work hard and play hard. 

     

    In 2017, the crypto market introduced me to trading. I experienced doubling my money in 5 minutes and selling after an 80 percent drop. To stay competitive, I'm currently working on my finance degree and market technician designation. I play table tennis, listen to electronic dance music and nonfiction books, practice Jiu-Jitsu, and compete in practical shooting.

  • VINCENT LUBINSKI
    VP

    Bartending and serving at multiple high-end restaurants along with helping open a restaurant, I have had the privilege of speaking to many prosperous business owners in a variety of fields. One piece of advice that they all gave me was to start acquiring assets and knowledge. This led me to the markets, where I spent countless hours researching business and how to trade. Then Covid hit and started to crash markets around the world. I took this opportunity to expand my knowledge even more and started back in college, where I am currently working on my Management Information Systems degree and minoring in Finance. Other hobbies I have include fishing and hunting, where I get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the outdoors.
