WHY ECONOMICS?

I’m pursuing a double major in business economics and political science. To me, those two fields are inextricably linked. I want to better understand how policy decisions impact the economy, and how the economy can impact political decisions.

INCREDIBLE ACCESS

One thing that I love about Goddard is that the professors are genuinely interested in your success, and the class sizes are small enough that you can receive the help that you need. Professors always have their door open, and I’ve always appreciated their approachability.

FACULTY IMPACT

I’ve had amazing professors, but two that I would mention particularly would be Matt Gnagey and Dean Matt Mouritsen. I had professor Gnagey for my introductory econ class, and then professor Mouritsen for introductory accounting. Their classes were some of my first interactions with Goddard, and they made me feel welcome, comfortable, and excited to be at Weber. Their genuine passion for their subject was contagious, and their love to teach made their classes something I looked forward to.

Don’t be afraid to allow yourself to enjoy your college experience. Work hard, study diligently, but have fun as well.
