Defending civil liberties in the state of Utah is a constant battle, but a rewarding one. The ACLU of Utah focuses on public education, legal advocacy, litigation, and lobbying at the state and local levels to ensure the constitutional rights and freedoms of everyone living in or visiting Utah. Our work is based on those principles outlined in the Bill of Rights. We continue our commitment to reform the Utah criminal justice system, protect the First Amendment, reproductive freedoms, and equality for all.
Affirmation creates worldwide communities of safety, love, and hope and promotes understanding, acceptance, and self-determination of individuals of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions. We affirm the inherent self-worth of LGBTQIA+ individuals as complete, equal, and valuable persons and support them as they define their individual spirituality and intersection with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
By empowering and mobilizing people at the grassroots level, HRC Utah aims to create impactful change, providing advocacy for HRC’s mission and work on the ground. HRC Utah is a dedicated team of volunteers who use their experience and talents to develop a more affirming, inclusive, and equitable community.
