BIO/EXPERIENCE:

Realizing the flaws of the traditional glass growler and how some bottles and cans can actually wreck a good brew, Kevin Lehman set out to not just improve beer vessels but to re-invent them! After some tinkering and many long nights, Kevin developed the 64 oz. mini keg-style growler. An inventor at heart, an engineer by trade, and an avid homebrewer, it was completely natural for Kevin to be the guy who would innovate a revolutionary way to store and pour beer.

BIO/EXPERIENCE:

After completing her masters where she conducted research in Nicaragua and Kenya and looked at bottom-up approaches to social change. After directing a learning and leadership program at UC Berkeley, Jen returned to Kenya to launch a micro-financing organization (more on that below).

In 2013 Jen co-founded Coalition Snow. After years of hearing women complain about gear that didn’t serve their needs, she decided it was time to for ladies to take matters into their own hands.

 “Ain’t no mountain high enough” is an understatement.  When Steve sees a challenge, he climbs right over the dang thing.  It doesn’t matter if it’s developing and designing the next generation of aircraft, in the military defending our freedom, or in his personal endeavors, namely wrangling his kids, Steve does what it takes to get the job done.  Some might say he kick’s butt and takes names later, but he mostly just kick’s butt.  Pushing the limits in everything he does, he is often heard hollering, “Giddy-yup” and “Let’s do this!”  He is a man’s man with the heart of a saint.

Jordan Judd currently works for Amer Sports, the parent company of leading brands such as Salomon, Atomic, Wilson, Arc’teryx, and Suunto, as the Global Vice President of Etail and Marketing.  Jordan has over 20 years of experience in the outdoor and sporting goods industry across a variety of roles including retail, sales, product management, marketing, ecommerce and general management.  He has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys skiing, hiking and backpacking, climbing, mountain biking and more.

BIO/EXPERIENCE:

Jennifer is the Co-Founder and CEO of AndShesDopeToo, an outdoor women’s event company based in Ogden,UT. She started her journey in 2015 with her husband and business partner Taylor. Her goal was to create a community for women in the outdoors that removed all aspects of comparison and competition. Through Jennifer’s drive and passion, ASDT has become a world-wide brand, hosting multiple large scale camping experiences, intimate backcountry retreats, local meet-ups and The Lady Wild Film Festival.

Her greatest success on top of AndShesDopeToo is being married to her husband of 11 years and their 3 outdoor loving children.

BIO/EXPERIENCE:

Eli Chmouni moved to Arizona from Lebanon at the age of 19 with $600 and the hunger for the American Dream. After receiving his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science from Arizona State University, he realized that a traditional job setting is not exciting enough. He then proceeded to launch 4 startups over the course of 8 years, two of which have been acquired. In 2016, Eli was voted as top 35 under 35 entrepreneurs in Arizona, and his startup have won significant awards and accolades over the years.

In addition, Eli has been a faculty member at Arizona State University for 8 years teaching engineering and entrepreneurship. He has mentored more than 500 startups and founders on ideation, branding, customer profiles and scaling.

Ben Forchini is the Aquatics & Safety Programs Coordinator for San Francisco State University. Prior to his role at San Francisco State, Ben held roles as the Program Director for the Boys & Girls Club of the as well as the Athletic Recreation Coordinator for the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. He is also the founder and owner of California Surfing Academy in Half Moon Bay, CA. An avid waterman, Ben provides decades of experience in ocean safety and recreation.

From Southeast Alaska to Western Massachusetts, Ren has facilitated outdoor experiences for thousands of people. He has found great satisfaction in helping individuals progress from self-doubt to self-confidence and it's in these environments where Ren has grown the most. In the Fall of 2016 after an amazing season in Alaska, he decided to start his own small business known as Mountain Light Creative inspired by the aurora borealis. can sleep when you're dead”. This is the personal motto of Cindy Whitehead.
She conquered the male dominated profession of pro vert skateboarding in the 70's, and quickly became one of the top ranked professional female vert skateboarders in the U.S. for pool riding and half-pipe. To this day, Cindy still holds the distinction of being the only female to be featured in the centerfold plus a two-page article in a skateboarding magazine, and was the first female skateboarder to have been sponsored by Puma.  
Cindy has gone on to coin the term "Sports Stylist®"; working as a
fashion stylist for the past 25 years specializing in sports, with companies like Gatorade, Nike, the NBA, and athletes such as Tiger Woods, Michelle Kwan, Kobe Bryant, Bethany Hamilton, Derek Jeter, and Mia Hamm.

In 2013 Cindy created a brand called “Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word” and came out with a collaboration skateboard with Dwindle Inc. (the largest company in
professional skateboarding) by designing a skateboard aimed at the female market.

Leading the trends, founder and designer (Ogden native & Weber State grad) Debra Mitchell of Twisted Silver llc® began her career in fashion with The Bon Marche as the Northern Utah regional fashion coordinator, which expanded from there. Home for Debra became California, and after taking time out to raise her 3 kids, stepped right back into design. With fashion in her blood and an eye on a career in fashion design, she became a indie jewelry designer overnight when her very first design was placed in a high profile Emmy Awards event, branding this girl-next-door brand, Twisted Silver as a celebrity favorite. Scott "Chip" Nelson was born in Bountiful, Utah and moved to Ogden in 1975 after graduating from Utah State University with a degree in finance. After several years in general real estate, Chip got into the home building and development business and eventually became president and COO of a large multi-state homebuilding company. The Homebuilding Company sold over twenty thousand new homes and developed around thirty five thousand building lots. The company achieved revenues of over one billion dollars. Chip has served as chairman of the Business Advisory Council at Weber State University, a director of the Ogden Golf and Country Club and currently is a member of the Board of Directors for Bank of Utah. He currently serves on the Utah State Building Board and has so since 2011.

Cass Morgan is the program director and an assistant professor of the outdoor recreation degree program at Weber State University. Cass completed her Ph.D  at the University of Utah in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. She has over 15 years experience working in the industry. Prior to working in the university, she worked as a recreation planning consultant, researcher, and outdoor educator for a number of programs across the United States. Her research interests focus on how outdoor programs drive youth development. Cass enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, whitewater rafting, rock climbing and hiking.

Klymit’s sales growth in 2015 and 2016 landed the company on the INC 5000 list of fastest growing private businesses both years. Before Klymit, Bart was V.P. of Sales at Goal Zero, a Utah based outdoor product start-up business which sold for $80 million to NRG (NYSE: NRG) in 2014.  Prior to the acquisition, Goal Zero was #9 on the 2013 INC 500 list and Bart was a Utah Business 40 Under 40 honoree. Bart was also a key contributor to the success of England Logistics, a then early-stage transportation 3PL which grew to over $100 million in revenue during his time employed there.

Peter F. Malen Jr.’s legal and technical backgrounds are diverse. He began his professional career as a mechanical engineer and worked with the Department of Defense for several years.  Since transitioning to the practice of law, Mr. Malen now manages IP portfolios for clients ranging in size from one-person operations to top 10 Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of fields, including sporting goods.  In addition to the development and implementation of IP protections for U.S. and international patent and trademark applications, Mr. Malen also provides international trade secrets counseling, licensing, infringement investigations, due diligence investigations, and assistance in the advancement of client rights in numerous foreign jurisdictions including Canada, Europe, and Asia.  Mr. Malen has spoken on the subject of intellectual property in a number of different venues. His engagements have included presentations on intellectual property topics at the Snowsports Industries of America (SIA) Snow Show in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

His companies have flipped real estate, hocked furniture, forever changed the textbook industry, improved the health of asthmatic children and built enterprise level software. In 2012, his textbook company was recognized as the 17th fastest growing privately held company in the country by Inc Magazine’s Inc500 list. Dave Noack joined the Weber State University faculty in 2014 and currently serves as the executive director of the Hall Global Entrepreneurship Center, assistant professor of entrepreneurship and the Hall Endowed Chair in entrepreneurship in the Goddard School of Business & Economics. 

In addition to an MBA in entrepreneurship, Dr. Noack holds a Ph.D. in management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from the Carson College of Business at Washington State University. 

He currently teaches courses on introduction to entrepreneurship, new venture finance, and strategic management. Dr. Noack’s research focuses on entrepreneurship and strategic management, particularly on start-up teams, new venture creation and entrepreneurial decision-making.

A little about me, so I am from upstate New York, I moved out here 5 years ago to ski and be somewhere fun and have a little more to offer outdoors. I love to ski, Bike and ride dirt bikes whenever I can. I worked at a ski shop when I moved out here. I worked my way up to store assistant manager. I started working at a bike shop 3 years ago during the summer for fun, I bought my first full suspension mountain bike. It quickly turned into my passion, I started to race for fun that first year at the shop. I ended up doing well so I started to take it more seriously. This past year I raced pro endure and cat 1 downhill. So biking became my number one passion, I now am a suspension specialist at Specialized Bikes. I really love my job working on bikes and being with likeminded people at work

Heather brings over 20 years of professional experience to the playing field. After finishing her collegiate and professional sports endeavors, she founded a sports training business in Arizona. After moving to Utah, she’s found her passion for strategy and research/analytics leadership. Her many years leading client marketing, strategy, research, and analytics are abundant assets to both the marketing and customer experience industries. Heather has managed over 40 clients in more than six countries. Roger L. Nuttall is the President of Camping World, the nation’s largest network of RV Dealerships. Mr. Nuttall grew up in St. George, Utah and attended Dixie State University prior to completing his undergraduate education at Weber State University with a degree in accounting. Nuttall became a Certified Public Accountant in 1976. In 1981 Mr. Nuttall, along with 2 partners acquired the Grant Thornton CPA firm located in Ogden.  In 2003, Mr. Nuttall was invited to move to the Chicago area to take the position of Chief Financial Officer of Camping World at its headquarters in Lincolnshire, IL.
