FBLA-PBL Officer Installation
Do you know the story of the geese and the parable about leadership? Members of the Sigma Tau Chapter of FBLA-PBL do. The story is about shared leadership and mutual support. Laura Anderson, co-Advisor told the story to the group of members, faculty, staff, family, and friends gathered to witness the officer installation which was held on Thursday, September 20.
The Weber State University Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda was formed 40 years ago and has been active for that long. The student leaders who were installed on Thursday evening work with college students from universities and colleges around the state to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
PBL does this by focusing on service, education, and progress. Students who are members of PBL have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, validate their education through competitions, and promote responsibility in our community through service.
In addition to installing the chapter officers, two members of the Weber State chapter were recognized. Harrison Spendlove is the state of Utah President and Danielle Rich is the state Publicity Director. Both were elected after campaigning in the spring by peers from colleges and universities throughout the state.
