DR. DAN MAGDA, ETPublished and presented a peer review paper at the American Society for Engineering and Education Annual Conference.  His paper, “Teaching Demo to Reinforce how Mechanical Properties Change Due to Heat Treament Processes”, was presented to the Materials division this past June in Vancouver, BC.

DR. DIANA GREEN, TBE Received the Delta Pi Epsilon Best Innovative Instructional Practices Award for her “Soft Skills Development Training: Effective Strategies and Activities” paper at the 2011 Delta Pi Epsilon National Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, November 18, 2011.

KRISTEN PARK, CMT Has been appointed as the Utah Regional Chair for the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Student Chapters.

JACIE JOHNSON, IDT recently passed the LEEDS Associate Exam. 

DR. RICHARD FRY, CS –  Has earned his PhD in Business Administration with an emphasis in Applied Computer Science from Northcentral University in Prescott, Arizona (a fully accredited on-line institution).

 “The only POSITIVE thing I have to say about it is TGIF (Thank God it’s Finished)!  It took 4 ½ years non-stop and over $40,000.  Only time will tell if it was worth the sacrifices.” 

Rich’s dissertation research was on the effect of E-learning on Organizational Performance.  He hopes to build upon his research through the project he’s currently working on in Ghana, as he and his students start to build e-learning training modules for the IT staff in Ghana who are supporting the electronic medical records software they’re developing for their 1700 bed teaching hospital.
