Getting Started: Step by Step

Step 1: Attend a WSU Early College Information Session

These sessions are typically held twice a month, and includes detailed information related to the Early College program and the application process. This mandatory first step is incredibly beneficial, as it is designed to answer a lot of the initial questions parents and students have.

RSVP and view upcoming dates.

Step 2: Apply for Admissions as an Early College student

Check out the application page for a step-by-step guide on how to apply to be a student in the Early College program.

This application is required even if you have already applied as a WSU Concurrent Enrollment student.

Step 3: Meet with your High School Counselor

You must meet with your high school counselor in order to determine if Early College is right for you. During this appointment, you can ask your counselor to submit an Early College Counselor Contract. This contract must be submitted before your admittance into the program.

Step 4: Meet with your WSU Early College Advisor

After completing the above steps, you will need to set up your Required Early College New Student (REC) appointment with your Early College Advisor before you can register. During this appointment you will apply for the Early College Scholarship and register for classes. Once you receive your official letter of acceptance, reach out to the advisor in your district to schedule this appointment.

Keep in mind that this appointment cannot be completed until you have been admitted into the program and your Counselor Contract has been submitted.

At least one parent or legal guardian is required to attend this first appointment with you.

Step 5: Complete WSU New Student Orientation

After you have been admitted as an Early College student, you will need to complete the required New Student Orientation.  All new Wildcats are required to complete New Student Orientation. You will begin your orientation process online through the New Student Orientation app in your eWeber portal. Through these modules, you will learn important information like how to register for classes, pay tuition and what resources are available to you on campus. Orientation also includes Weber Welcome, a virtual or on-campus experience you can sign up for after completing the online modules! An email will be sent to your WSU student email with more details on this requirement. You can also visit the orientation website for more information.

This is not the same event as the Early College Information Session that you have previously attended. This is another step that is required of all students prior to their first semester at Weber State.
