Concurrent Enrollment Site Reps and Administrators

• Instructor Requirements

  Teachers must meet all program deadlines and follow all WSU policies. They must assist in coordinating an annual classroom visit by the WSU department liaison to ensure university accreditation standards are being met. Teachers must attend the annual professional development session and any additional departmental professional development sessions.

  Teachers must confirm student registration and verify accuracy of WSU class rosters often. They must also enter final grades (A-E) for all students within three working days after the final exam date.

  Each department may have additional expectations for their instructors. Specific department qualifications/expectations can be found on MyCE Weber under “Courses.”

• Instructor Qualifications for Individual Courses

  To find instructor qualifications for each Concurrent Enrollment course offered at WSU, login to MyCE Weber and browse within the link “Courses” to find class details. 

• Minimum Required GPA for GenEd Concurrent Enrollment and Career and Technical Education Courses

  Students need a 3.0 GPA to take General Education Concurrent Enrollment courses. Students taking Career and Technical Education (CTE) defined courses may enroll with a 2.0 GPA.

• Enroll/Drop/Withdraw Deadlines

  Please reference WSU’s academic calendar.

• Late Registration Fee

  Registering for a Concurrent Enrollment course after the deadline will carry a $40 late fee. Deadlines are listed on the calendar.

• Submitting New Instructor Course Proposal

  Site reps will need to submit course proposals using MyCE Weber for new instructors whether they are newly hired or existing faculty who have not yet taught Concurrent Enrollment. Reps will need to collect the instructor’s resume, transcripts and their course syllabus. Syllabi should be created from the template attached to the course description in the “Courses” section in MyCE Weber. Once the site rep submits on behalf of a new instructor, the course will move through the approval process. If approved,  the new instructor will get their own account in MyCE.

• Yearly Course Proposal Renewal Requirements

  If teachers are already in MyCE Weber with a current resume and transcript, all that is required for each new year’s course proposal is the course syllabus for the upcoming year. Departmental syllabus templates can be found linked to individual courses in “Courses” on MyCE Weber.

• New Concurrent Enrollment Course Requests

  If a desired course is not currently offered by WSU, contact concurrent@weber.edu to determine the appropriate alignment between the high school course and university course. Once determined, that alignment needs to be documented and explained in detail. New course requests are due by November 1 for courses to be offered the following school year.

• Student Grade Change

  The instructor must email records@weber.edu from their WSU faculty email account requesting the grade change. Include the student’s name, their W#, the course information and the correct grade. A separate email must be sent for each individual student if submitting more than one grade change.

• Instructor Syllabus Template

  Instructors are required to fill out their own syllabus so that they are entirely familiar with its contents. Use the departmental syllabus templates located in “Courses” in MyCE Weber to verify that the submitted syllabus is the most recent version available.
