NUAMES Early College Scholarships

Applications open each year on Sept. 1 for the following school year. Students are encouraged to complete the application as soon as possible to guarantee funds. The WSU Early College Scholarships may be awarded up to $1,000 per semester (up to $2,000 per academic year) for tuition-only.

Eligibility Requirements:

• High school junior or senior. Note: Sophomores are not eligible.
• Have an index score of 106 or higher. 
• Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher at NUAMES & Weber State.
• Be a legal residents of the United States and have established Utah residency for tuition purposes.
• Apply & accept the WSU scholarship each academic year.
• Can be used toward day, evening, and online courses. Note: Does not cover Independent Study courses. 
• Only available for the Fall and Spring semesters. Note: Does not cover the Summer semester.
• The scholarship is contingent upon funding and is reviewed each semester.

Apply

1. Log into your eWeber portal and open the Financial Aid & Scholarships app.
2. Select on Specialized Scholarship Application.
3. Select the appropriate award year.
4. Select the Specialized Scholarship Application button.
5. Scroll down and enter your anticipated enrollment (Select full time for Fall and Spring).
6. Complete personal information questions.
7. In the last essay box, "Departmental Scholarships," enter NUAMES Early College.
8. Click the purple button at the bottom to submit your application.

Accepting the Academic Early College Scholarship

1. Log into your eWeber portal and open the Financial Aid & Scholarships app.
2. Under the Confirm your Aid column, select View & Accept Your Award.
3. Select the appropriate Aid Year.
4. Select the Award Offer tab.
   • You will review the information listed and accept your scholarship. 
   • Note: The Cost of Attendance is not what you will be charged. It is an estimate on what a full year of college could cost.
5. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page to successfully accept your scholarship award. 

NUAMES High School will provide qualified NUAMES Early College students up to $1,250 per semester (tuition and fees only). Students must have completed the Early College Admissions Process and register for Early College courses by the last day of the school year at NUAMES High School to be considered for fall semester.

Eligibility Requirements

• High school junior or senior. Sophomores are not eligible.
• Have an index score of 106 or higher. 
• Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher at NUAMES and Weber State.
• Be a legal resident of the United States and have established Utah residency for tuition purposes.
• Enrolled on a full time basis for one school year at NUAMES High School prior to enrolling in the Early College program.
• No F's or U's on their NUAMES High School transcripts that have not been made up.
• Can be used toward day, evening and online courses. Does not cover Independent Study courses. 
• Only available for the fall and spring semesters. Does not cover the summer semester.
• The scholarship is contingent upon funding and is reviewed each semester
• Required to pay back NUAMES High School for any WSU course in which a grade of D+, D, D-, E, W, UW, NC, or AU (audit) was earned.
• No application is necessary. Funds are automatically awarded to those who qualify.

Be aware of other costs (textbooks, course supplies, parking passes, etc). Students are responsible to pay for any additional tuition and fees not covered by the scholarships.
