COVID Update: Registration, Testing, Feedback Opportunity
This communication was sent to students on April 10, 2020
Dear Weber State Students:
I hope you are doing as well as possible during these COVID-19 times. I also hope you find the following information helpful.
To learn more about computer requirements for testing, rules and schedule appointments, visit the Testing Services website.
The university extended the withdrawal, change to credit/no-credit, audit deadline for spring 2020. For more information about these options, and potential consequences, please visit the Spring 2020 Grading website.
Laptop and Library Material Return
Laptop checkouts for summer semester will be available starting April 24. In order to maintain social distancing, an appointment will be required to pick up equipment. Time slots are limited, but you can reserve your appointment online.
Reservations must be made at least three hours in advance of the pickup to give staff ample time to prepare. After making your appointment, you will receive pickup instructions with your appointment confirmation.
This is not a walk-up service -- you must arrive in a vehicle and should not exit the vehicle when arriving at the library loading dock for pickup. Staff will verify your identity verbally from a safe distance before wheeling the equipment to your vehicle. Staff will maintain hygiene and social distancing best-practices throughout the interaction.
Please exit campus as soon as the transaction is complete.
Summer semester registration is currently open for all students. If you plan to take classes in the summer, financial aid may be available for those who qualify. Please visit weber.edu/summer to complete the summer interest form. Note, the 2019-20 scholarship application also must be completed to determine eligibility. If you have not completed the application already, you will find it in your eWeber portal.
Don’t forget to register for the fall 2020 semester as soon as you are able! If you want to speak with your academic advisor prior to choosing your classes, visit the Find My Advisor app in the eWeber portal.
As we wrap up spring semester and look forward to starting summer, we want you to remember there are services and events available to keep you connected to the university and to each other. Please be sure to regularly check out our new Keeping Connected website for updates.
We want to learn how you are feeling, how your classes are going, and get your feedback for our campus administrators. Please take a moment to fill out our latest survey. We are not tracking respondents and will only report data in aggregate. Please complete the survey by Monday, April 13 at WSU Student Survey.
Virtual Town Hall
On Tuesday, April 14, at 3 p.m., we will host a town hall to check in with students and answer your questions. We will have updates about summer and fall registration and the credit/no credit process. We also will share some of the survey feedback during the town hall. Please join us at the Zoom event. ASL interpretation will be provided. We ask that you submit questions ahead of time at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Best wishes, and hope to “see” you on Tuesday!
