Vaccine Requirement for WSU Students

This communication was sent campuswide Sept. 8, 2021. As of August 2022, COVID vaccines are still strongly recommended but are no longer required.

Dear Students,

Weber State University announced Aug. 27 that it will require COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, except for concurrent enrollment students and students who qualify for an exemption, for the 2022 spring semester.

You will receive a notification sent to your WSU student email account directing you to complete a Qualtrics survey form. In the form, you will be asked to demonstrate proof of vaccination or file an exemption, in accordance with state law, based on religious, medical or personal reasons. Please complete the form immediately.

Getting Vaccinated

Weber State will offer free vaccination opportunities in the Shepherd Union and Community Education Center through December. For specific days and hours, please visit weber.edu/coronavirus/vaccines

Vaccinations are also available at most local pharmacies.

You will continue to receive email reminders, asking you to respond to the survey, if we don’t receive your response. Our goal is to have all students fulfill this requirement before the start of spring semester. Please help us by completing the survey form prior to Jan. 10, 2022.

Looking Ahead

We are grateful for the collective efforts to return to in-person instruction. Our goal is to provide all of the personal connections and transformative experiences that allow you to achieve your goals academically and in life through your Weber State education. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises the vaccine can help in returning to normal activity and protecting you and your loved ones from becoming ill.

Thank you to everyone who has already been vaccinated, and to all of you who plan to do so in the coming weeks.

If you have questions regarding the vaccination requirement or anything else related to Weber State COVID-19 protocols, please visit weber.edu/coronavirus or email COVID19@weber.edu

Wishing us all health, happiness and fortitude.
