Educational Services

Our program is part of the Child and Family Studies Department in the College of Education at Weber State University. We are located in on the Weber State University Campus in Ogden, Utah. In the Education Building on the first floor.

We are a publically funded kindergarten only charter school with two half-day kindergarten classrooms. There is no cost for children to attend our program. Children from the surrounding community attend our program.

The morning kindergarten session meets from 8:30-11:30 am Monday-Thursday and 8:30-10:30 on Fridays. The afternoon kindergarten session meets from 12:30-3:30 pm Monday-Thursday and 12:30-2:30 on Fridays. Onsite extended school (or care) is available for a fee from the Melba S. Lehner’s Children’s School. See the Family Resources page for more information.

Our maximum class size is 22 children in each class, with one teacher, an assistant, and special education paraprofessional. Family volunteers frequently help in our classrooms. Classrooms also host university students completing course field experience requirements for the Child and Family Studies and Education programs.
