How to Get Food & Resources

The Weber Cares program is comprised of two options for individuals who are experiencing food insecurity and/or need resources, such as: personal hygiene items, baby food, etc.

1. Weber Cares Pantry

The Weber Cares Pantry is available for faculty, staff and students with a valid WSU I.D. Individuals are welcome to fill up to two bags of food and resources. The pantry is open Monday through Friday, 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the Shepherd Union (SU) room 402. Please visit SU 324, the Center for Community Engaged Learning, to assist with the pantry before or after open hours.

2. Voucher Program

The voucher program is designed to give students a more immediate assistance option. It was set up to be an emergency food option for students and not a sustainable food source. Students in need may receive a same-day-use $10 food voucher for food to be used at any of the Sodexo food venues on-campus. For students to obtain additional food vouchers (up to one per month), they need to complete particular tasks. Our goal for the tasks is to notify students that one meal per month is not their only resource to financial assistance.

3. Fresh Food Fridays

The Weber Cares Pantry now includes a REFRIGERATOR to offer perishable food items to those in need! Fresh food options will vary based on availability, but we look forward to offering grab-and-go meals, fruits and vegetables, milk, and bread. Currently, fresh food will be offered on Fridays from 12:30 - 3:30 pm for the Fall 2019 semester. Non-perishable food items will continue to be offered in the pantry throughout the week. Fresh food is made possible by Weber Dining, the Food Recovery Network and generous donors.
