About
Larry Clarkson has been a successful graphic designer and design communications consultant for more than forty years. He was a principal partner in the design firm Smith & Clarkson, president of Clarkson Twede, an advertising and design group, and since 2000 he has been the principal design consultant for Clarkson Creative.
His art and design work has been honored with numerous awards of excellence, and his identity, packaging and publication designs have appeared in national and international exhibitions, design books and publications including Creativity, AIGA, Print and Graphics.
Since 2005, Larry has taught design at Weber State University. His areas of teaching expertise include graphic design and illustration – methodology, history, theory and practice. He has also been an instructor at the University of Illinois, the University of Utah, Brigham Young University and Westminster College. Larry has served on the board of numerous art and design organizations, including president of the Salt Lake Art Directors Club, and co-founder and first director of the Entrada Institute.
