Areas of teaching expertise: sculpture and public art.
Jason’s sculptures and public art projects respond to the built environment by repurposing industrial materials and architectural forms for poetic explorations of language and space. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including recent solo exhibitions in Los Angeles, Paris and Brussels. His public art projects have been displayed in California, Nebraska, and Iowa. He has received numerous grants and residencies, including a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and artist residencies at Skowhegan School of Art and the Bemis Center of Contemporary.
