WSU Exhibit and Discussion Explores ‘The f Word’

OGDEN, Utah — The role of forgiveness will be explored in an art exhibition and panel discussion at Weber State University Nov. 5 from 10:30 a.m.- noon in the Shepherd Union Building Room 316.

The Forgiveness Project is an organization that explores “The f Word,” or forgiveness. Since it was launched in 2004, the project has worked to share and explore the possibilities of forgiveness with individuals and groups around the world.

A WSU panel comprised of individuals from various religious, academic and civic groups will discuss the importance of forgiveness and whether or not forgiveness plays a part in the advancement of society. The discussion is free and open to everyone.

The Forgiveness Project’s international traveling art exhibit will also be on display in the Shepherd Union Atrium from Nov. 2-7. The exhibit features 16 panels with images and personal stories of forgiveness.

“It’s a unique opportunity to have a conversation about something that’s always a part of our lives,” said Forrest Crawford, WSU professor of teacher education and event organizer. “Does “The f Word” make humanity a better place? Some people think it’s unrealistic and other people think it will be our saving grace.”
