UMT Auditioning Performers and Hiring Creative Staff for 2004 Season

OGDEN, Utah – Utah Musical Theatre, the professional summer-stock company in residence at Weber State University, is now accepting headshot/resume and portfolio submissions for performer and creative staff hiring for the 2004 season.

UMT's 2004-05 "All Premiere Season" features: "Zorro", "Triumph of Love" and "Pal Joey," playing from June to August. "In most cases, our audiences will be experiencing these shows for the first time," said Bruce Cohen, UMT's artistic and managing director. "That's both exciting and challenging for the actors and actresses bringing these characters to life."

Contracting is open to union and non-union actors for the full-season or per-show, and a special emphasis is placed on hiring Utahn and regional talent to contribute to the season. All positions are paid, and UMT contracts with Actor's Equity Association (AEA), the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SSD&C), United Scenic Artists (USA), and the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) affiliates and members.  For production calendar, hiring details, show descriptions and character breakdowns, consult the UMT Web site (
