Alumni Association Offers Career Workshop

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University’s Alumni Association and Career Services will host a daylong career workshop on Oct. 28.

 The workshop is designed to assist those who are in a career transition or have endured an unexpected downsizing. Components of the workshop include developing a plan for marketing yourself, networking, getting organized, and interviewing.  Those who participate will be invited to attend three additional workshops designed by WSU Career Services to help alumni implement their plans.

“We’ve heard from many alumni who expressed great interest in a seminar like this to help them grow and advance in their careers,” said Lynell Gardner, WSU Alumni Association director.
The seminar will be presented by Susan J. Marks, Senior Consultant of Waldron & Company (Formerly with OCM/Lee Hecht Harrison and American Express).

Registration is $75 and includes a membership in the Weber State University Alumni Association, a $35 value. The price is $50 for current WSUAA members. Registration is available online at  or by calling (801) 626-7535.  Space is limited. The registration deadline is Oct. 26.

The workshop is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will take place at the Lindquist Alumni Center on WSU’s Ogden campus.
