Community Invited to WSU Halloween Carnival in Layton

OGDEN, Utah – Little Wildcats, or kids in costumes of any kind, are welcome at the third annual Weber State University Halloween carnival, Oct. 21 from 2-4 p.m. in the WSU Davis Building 3 ballroom (2750 University Park Blvd., Layton).

Because of the large turnout during the previous two years, the carnival was relocated to the university campus in Layton to more conveniently accommodate the crowd.

Ghosts and goblins will enjoy trick-or-treating and a costume contest. In addition, the carnival will offer activities, Halloween crafts, games and balloon art. Waldo the Wildcat will be on hand for high-fives and photos to entertain the crowd. The family-friendly activities are geared to children age 10 and under.

“We want to offer an afternoon of family fun,” said Jennifer Unguren, Davis Student Services coordinator. “We also want children and their parents to visit a university campus in their own backyard to experience the convenience and excitement firsthand.”

Families are welcome to explore WSU Davis, which offers a broad range of services, including the Wildcat Store, Student Health Center and Career Services. Students can earn degrees or certificates in 21 programs, including six master’s degrees and six bachelor’s degrees, in nursing, construction management technology, family studies, respiratory therapy, interior design and information systems.
