Homecoming Race to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University’s Campus Recreation will hold the 5K Run or 10K Bike Race for Dylan on Sept. 6 to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The race, being held in conjunction with homecoming week, is in honor of Dylan Smith, a 5-year-old boy who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2005. He is currently in remission but is still undergoing chemotherapy sessions. All proceeds from the race will go to the Utah branch of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help others like Dylan.

Registration for the race, which starts at 8 a.m. at the west side of Stewart Stadium, is $15 in advance or $20 that day and includes a free T-shirt. To register, call Campus Recreation at 801-626-6476.
