Conference to Focus on Preventing Child Abuse
OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University will host the 17th Annual Child Abuse & Family Violence Conference August 5-6 in the Shepherd Union Building.
The two-day conference aimed at preventing violence against children will feature speakers: Jerry Tello, director of the National Latino Fatherhood and Family Institute; Larry EchoHawk, Brigham Young University law professor; Richard Anderson, director of the Utah Division of Child and Family Services; and Vincent J. Felitti, University of California clinical professor.
Participants will attend three workshop sessions each day with an option to receive college credit. The conference costs $150 for non-credit students, or $175 for those seeking college credit. The deadline to register is July 28.
