Construction Project Causes Edvalson Street Closure

The renovation of the A-2 parking lot on the north side of campus will result in a section of Edvalson Street being closed to traffic July 15 and 16.

The closure is schedule to start at 6 a.m. on July 15 and run through July 16.
Edvalson Street will be closed from just east of the David O. McKay Education Building, to just beyond the eastern-most entrance to the A-2 lot. As a result of this closure, vehicles will be unable to access campus via Birch Avenue.

UTA bus routes and stops along Edvalson Street will be redirected to Dixon Drive during the two-day closure. To accommodate increased pedestrian traffic along Dixon Drive, one northbound lane of Dixon Drive will be closed to vehicles, including one lane in the southeast corner of the 3850 Street roundabout.

Access to the A-1 parking lot from the roundabout will be closed to vehicular traffic, in order to provide a pedestrian walkway onto campus. Motor vehicles will be able to access the A-1 lot from its north entrance off Edvalson Street.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.
