Ninth Annual Celebrate Shakespeare! Festival Announced
OGDEN, Utah – The Ninth Annual Celebrate Shakespeare! Festival will visit Ogden and Weber State University April 17, featuring “Romeo and Juliet.”The Utah Shakespearean Touring Group will perform the tragic drama, one of William Shakespeare’s most popular, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ogden High School auditorium.
In addition to the stage performance, Michael Don Bahr, education director for the Utah Shakespearean Festival, will present an interactive lecture, “Love, Hate, Friendship, Violence and Life: The Timeless Truths in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.” He will speak April 17 at 10 a.m. in WSU’s Hetzel-Hoellein Room, located in the Stewart Library Special Collections area.
The Celebrate Shakespeare! Festival is sponsored by Jean Anne Waterstradt, the Ogden School Foundation, the Stewart Education Foundation and John E. Lindquist. Both the stage performance and lecture are free to the public.
