'Napoleon Dynamite' Star to Speak at WSU

OGDEN, Utah – Jon Heder, star of the quirky 2004 independent film, "Napoleon Dynamite," will speak at Weber State University at 7 p.m. March 25.

Heder portrays the title character, an alienated teen who decides to help his new friend win the class presidency in their small town high school, while dealing with his bizarre family life at home.

The movie, filmed in Preston, Idaho, was shown at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. It was later distributed nationwide by Fox Searchlight Pictures and has become a cult classic.

Heder’s presentation will be held in the Austad Auditorium of the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts. General admission tickets are $3 for WSU students with valid WildCard ID, $5 without, available at the Dee Events Center ticket office.
