Children’s School Accepting Applications for Next Year
February 29, 2008
OGDEN, Utah – The Melba S. Lehner Children’s School at Weber State University is now accepting applications for the 2008 09 school year.
Applications will be accepted through March 30 for children who are three or four years old before September 1. Children will be selected by lottery to fill openings available for fall enrollment.
The children’s school offers one morning and one afternoon session. Three year olds attend Monday through Wednesday morning and four year olds attend Monday through Thursday afternoons. Additionally, a toddler lab for children 24 36 months of age will be offered this fall on Thursday and Friday mornings for 90 minutes.
The school’s well rounded curriculum is taught through fun learning centers where children participate actively to learn. Once a child is selected for enrollment, parents are required to participate in a parenting program, which allows parents and the school to interact cooperatively in an effort to meet the mutual goals of the children.
The children’s school also offers extended hours preschool (child care) for two through five year old children of WSU students, faculty and staff. Children attending kindergarten are not eligible. The school is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications for these programs are accepted year round.
Applications for all children’s school programs are available in Room 107 of the David O. McKay Education Building, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or online at weber.edu/coe/chfam.html.
Parents who need additional information may call the school during those hours at 626 6277.
