The inaugural Human Trafficking Symposium at Weber State University will cover a broad overview of topics pertinent to this phenomenon, such as labor versus sex trafficking, characteristics and attributes of victims and risk factors associated with human trafficking. Additionally, and more specific to Weber State University students, this symposium will cover online solicitation as well as victim resources available at Weber State University and in surrounding community partnerships. The goal of this symposium is to raise awareness and start an ongoing conversation about how to recognize and combat human trafficking.
The first 175 people to register will receive lunch at the Human Trafficking Symposium. Attendees can park in the Public Pay Lot located near the Student Services Center or ride the UTA Wildcat Shuttle for free from the Dee Events Center.
