Skiing Level 3 teaches intermediate skiers the skills needed to safely ski advanced in-bound terrain (on ski resort property). This course is hosted by Powder Mountain Resort. Students will learn skiing movement skills to successfully navigate advanced downhill slopes and ski in control at high speed.
REC 1612 — Skiing Level 3
Prerequisites & Equipment
Prior to participation in Skiing Level 3, students must have either 1) completed Skiing Level 2 or 2) be confident and controlled skiing on intermediate (blue) slopes. Skis are available for rent from the Weber State University Outdoor Program at a discounted rate for students enrolled in the class. Students must provide their own transportation, water and snacks and appropriate clothing.
Schedule & Location
Skiing Level 3 is offered during the first block of the spring semester. Multiple sections of the course allows students to choose a two-hour afternoon meeting either Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. The course meets on the resort property at Powder Mountain.
