Hosted Weber Information Sessions

What are Purple Carpet Events?

Considering college can be overwhelming. Deciding if it will fit into your life, choosing what to study, navigating financial aid -- it's a lot to figure out at once.

Purple Carpet events are our exclusive information sessions for prospective students, family members and counselors to visit Weber State, check out campus and get all of your questions answered so you can be confident as you get started.

Whether you are still in high school, recently graduated, or some time has passed since you have taken a class, there is a purple carpet event just right for you.

About the Scholarship Index Score

Eligibility for academic scholarships is determined by your index score, which is a combination of GPA and ACT or SAT scores. See the New Freshman Index Chart to determine scholarship eligibility.

Sending ACT/SAT Scores

Make sure to send all ACT/SAT scores to Weber State to be used for scholarship consideration. When you sign up to take the test, you can choose to have scores sent directly to a few colleges at no cost. Using this option to send scores to Weber is an easy way to make sure we have them.

Also, Weber State offers a residual ACT you can take to try to improve your score. For more information, go to https://weber.edu/TestingCenter/act.html.

Parking

For the evening session, free parking is available in any A or W parking lot.  View our campus map for parking locations.
