Randy Scott

Randy Scott (1973) earned an M.A. in Communication from Northern Illinois University and taught for two years in Wisconsin before returning to WSU as Director of Forensics in 1977. He earned his Ph.D. in Communication at the University of Oregon. In 1985 he became department chair and served for 21 years as chair. He received the Professor of the Year award from Weber State in 1980 and the Master Teacher award from the Western States Communication Association in 2004. Randy was elected president of the Cross Examination Debate Association and served as a member of the National Individual Events Tournament national committee and the American Forensic Association's Blue Ribbon Commission on Forensics. He also hosted three national forensics tournaments at Weber State. Randy anticipates retiring from WSU in June of 2013.
