If you’ve chosen a program of study that leads to a teaching position, the Moyes College of Education offers valuable field experience as part of your professional preparation. You will become involved in local schools while being supervised by WSU faculty.
In student teaching, you will synthesize theory and practice in an assigned public school classroom, under supervision by WSU faculty.
These professional experiences help provide the essential components for becoming a master teacher. Your progress is based on what you know and what you can apply. You will demonstrate competencies and compile a professional portfolio of accomplishments that will assist you in finding employment as a teacher.
Visit the Student Teaching Office page on the Teacher Education website for more information.
