Department of Emergency Healthcare

The Emergency Healthcare Department offers certifications and degrees in emergency medicine, including: The Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B), Paramedic (IC & AAS), BS in Emergency Healthcare Sciences, and a course in Critical Care Transport. This department also participates with the BIS (Bachelors of Integrated Studies) program. 

The EMT is a one semester, six credit-hour course that allows you to take the National Registry Paramedic Test to become a licensed EMT-B.  The Paramedic program is a two-semester program, which will allow you to take the National Registry Paramedic Test to become a licensed Paramedic.
