Carol Merrill is an accomplished artist, educator and motivational speaker. She currently serves as the Director of Weber State University’s Women’s Center and was a single mother during most of her children’s life. She enthusiastically embraced the challenges of single parenthood, completing her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees while raising her four children alone.
Carol’s award winning paintings are an example of the vision she brings to her life’s endeavors. Carol has a talent and passion for artistic expression and is constantly learning and improving her techniques while inspiring and teaching others. She has published several manuals on painting techniques and was the 2010 winner of the Ogden/Weber Chamber of Commerce Athena Award, given for contributions of time and energy to improving the quality of life for others, and helping others, particularly women to realize their full leadership potential.

Dorothy Hill has been employed at Weber State University for 13 years, first in Student Support Services and currently with the Women’s Center where she advises women students on topics such as getting into college, finding financial resources, succeeding academically, getting involved in campus life, and more. She facilitates groups for single moms and other women’s groups on campus. She obtained her bachelor’s degree and MBA from Weber State University.
Andrea Keith has been a staff member for Weber State University for 9 years. She is a recent graduate from the Family Studies Program at Weber State University. For the last year she has worked closely with Catholic Community Services, St Martha’s Baby program on a support group for mothers and is excited to present and meet mothers from the community at the support group each month. Andrea is married and has four children, they love spending time together enjoying each other’s company. Some of her favorite things to do are outdoors, but not in the snow, she loves to read, go to movies and take pictures.
Wendy Fox Kirk
Wendy is a single mother who after attending university as a mature student went on to become an experienced academic and organizational consultant with qualifications in business psychology. She has worked in the field of market research and has provided consultancy services to not for profit organizations. She currently teaches management in the Goddard School of Business and Economics. Her research focuses on women’s careers and women’s leadership experiences. As a non-traditional student herself, she is passionate about helping non-traditional students achieve their life potential.
Jen completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance Management with an emphasis in wellness and, additionally, in nutrition from Weber State University. She is currently the Recreation Coordinator for South Ogden City. Jen has taught several workshops about Body Image, Fitness, Nutrition, and Heart Disease. She enjoys spending time with her husband, dancing, working out, and traveling. Jen danced on the Dixie State College’s ballroom team and, also participated in multiple advanced ballroom courses at BYU-Idaho and Dixie State. Jen has been a ballroom instructor for the last three years and recently created and facilitated a cardio ballroom aerobic dance class.
Rachelle Rawson has been a home-based Mamapreneur for 15 yrs, while raising three incredible children. Consistently performing in the top 2% of the companies she has worked for, she has learned numerous lessons (the hard way) on achieving work-life balance. As a National Conference Speaker and Team Leader, she has mentored and trained hundreds of sales reps across the U.S. in the areas of customer service, goal achievement, recruiting, time management, and sales. In 2005, Rachelle became a certified yoga instructor and uses her practice to soften her Type A personality and bring more mindfulness to life on and off the mat.
