Utah FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC)
What is Utah FTC?
FIRST® Tech Challenge is a robotics competition for 7th-12th grade students based on a sports model. Teams of up to 10 students are responsible for designing, building and programming their robots to compete as alliances against other teams.
Start a Team
Teams are made up of students who are ready to take on the challenges of high school level Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathmatics concepts and apply them to robotics. A team of 3-10 members, a coach, and a mentor is recommended.
Utah State Championship Registration
The Utah State Championship will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015. It will be held in the Swenson Gym at Weber State University's Ogden Campus.
FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC®) creates powerful relationships between the young people who compete and the Volunteers and Mentors who participate. Volunteers and Mentors come from all walks of life and play an important role in shaping young minds and inspiring them to achieve. They get much more in return.
Event Season Timeline
The FIRST® Tech Challenge season starts in May, when registration opens, and runs through April, when the World Championship is held.
