Life Management


Career Services/Career Counseling

FYE (First Year Experience)
Offers a great introduction to college life at Weber State University and helps students explore, discover, and connect with the resources needed to succeed.

General WSU Information
Provides general information about Weber State.

Hourly Childcare
Offers support to WSU students’ academic success by providing childcare while they attend classes, take tests, and use other campus resources. The program provides a safe, rich and nurtured environment where each child develops as an individual as well as part of a group.

Housing
Offers affordable on-campus dorms and apartments available for both married and single students.

Scholarship Office
Serves students throughout their college career. There are academic, activities, departmental, private sponsored, non-resident and graduate scholarships available. In addition, there are need-based programs, called "special condition" or "sponsor awards” available.

Student Success Center (Academic Advisement)
Provides academic advisement to WSU students, helps map out college plans, and assists with enrollment.

Tutoring Services
The tutoring centers located at the Weber, Davis, and Roy campuses work to support the academic success of students by providing free drop-in and appointment tutoring during day and evening hours for subjects that range across the curriculum.


Substance Use


Campus Police
The mission of the Weber State University Police Department in partnership with the campus community is to cultivate a safe and secure atmosphere which supports the educational process and promotes academic and personal achievement, and community prosperity.

Clery Act (Right to Know)
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is a landmark federal law, originally known as the Federal Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act that requires colleges and universities across the United States to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses. The law was amended in 1992 to add a requirement that schools afford the victims of campus sexual assault certain basic rights, and was amended again in 1998 to expand the reporting requirements.

E-Chug
The electronic Check-Up to Go (e-CHUG) is a brief self-assessment that provides you with accurate, detailed and personalized feedback on your use of alcohol, and specific information and helpful resources in the Weber State University community.

Student Health Center
Provides quality, cost-effective health services, outpatient medical care for common illnesses and injuries, disease prevention activities, health promotion to the student body population allowing them to arrive in class ready to learn.

Campus Recreation
Provide wellness, sport, and recreation opportunities for the WSU campus community through programs and services that offer experiential learning opportunities, enhance lifelong learning, critical thinking skills, and gives students opportunities to meet new people.

Diversity Center
Develops a neutral ground for all students and staff to learn about diversity through a series of informative programs that expose them to each other, regardless of their age, ethnicity, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation or physical qualities.

International Student Center
Advises and assists international students with their personal, cultural, and academic adjustment to WSU. An orientation program is provided for all new international students each semester. Advisement is available to assist students concerning immigration related questions and concerns.

Multicultural Student Center
Address the needs of multicultural students holistically.

Nontraditional Student Center
Support nontraditional students who are over 25, married, divorced, widowed, or who are parents with academic and personal goals; provide a common place for students to meet and build support networks; offer educational and social programs, resources, and referral services to create an environment of support to help you be successful.

Services for Veteran Students
Helps students who may be eligible to receive GI Bill benefits for their education through the process of eligibility, admissions, registration, and paying for their education.

Student Involvement and Leadership
Promotes the development of the whole student through co-curricular opportunities, leadership experiences, and community involvement in an inclusive environment.

Women’s Center
Assists students with academic and personal needs, connect students to campus and community resources, offers single mom support, and step parent support groups and workshops.


Stress


Aquatics Program
Offers a variety of programs and activities to allow people of all skill levels to participate. The recreational aquatics program offers structured events and informal recreation opportunities including swim lessons for both adults and children, water aerobics, drop-in lap swimming, and opportunities for scheduling parties.

Club Sports
Provide opportunities for take part in a variety of individual and group sports, meet new people, try new recreational activities, earn scholarships and gain leadership experience.

Counseling Center Groups Offers interactive and educational group discussion on a variety of topics.

Stress Management Lab
The Stress Management Lab is one of the few places on campus where you can relax, unwind, and recharge. From the state-of-the-art massage chair and the cloud-like comfy chairs, exclusive Bose headphones, and crystal clear relaxing music, to the chi machine and biofeedback, you are sure to find something that will help you turn off your stress and feel a lot better.

WRC
Provides students, faculty, staff, and community members with positive outdoor recreational experiences through our resource center, rental center, and trip and workshop programs.
