Student Success Center - General Studies Session

If you are a new freshman

Sign up for Weber State University’s New Student Orientation. At Orientation, you will take a tour of campus, learn important University policies and major and/or minor requirements, get help registering for classes, and have ample time to work with an academic advisor.

You can also view Online New Student Orientation which will take you about one hour to complete.

If you are seeking an Associate Degree In General Studies…

Academic advisors in the Student Success Center advise students on the Associate Degree in General Studies. If you are unable to attend a New Student Orientation, or if none are being offered in the near future, then you can attend a General Studies Session, which are offered twice a week, one morning time and one afternoon time. Call the Student Success Center to sign up. If you are not a new freshman, but need a refresher on General Studies requirements, go to the Online New Student Orientation and click on "Step 2."

If you are not seeking an Associate Degree in General Studies…

Contact your academic advisor for your specific major/minor as requirements differ for each major.
