Non-Resident & International Student Scholarships

Non-Resident Students:

There are scholarships available for  non-resident students of Utah.  To view the requirements and information for these scholarships, please click the appropriate student information:

Most of the categories listed are open to students who are not Utah residents
though there are fewer awards available.  

Tuition waivers are only equivalent to the in-state portion of tuition.  Students must pay the difference between the resident and the nonresident tuition, plus all student fees.

Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE):

Students from the following states may apply for this program:  Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming.  This scholarship results in a reduced tuition level, and the student will pay 150% of the institution’s regular resident tuition. 

To be eligible for this scholarship, please complete the following:

  • Complete the application for admission to WSU
  • Send your official transcripts (high school and any college/university work) to Admissions by March 1.  (An official transcript is one stamped and placed in a sealed envelope by the issuing party.  If this envelope is opened, this transcript cannot be accepted.)
  • Pay the $30.00 nonrefundable processing fee, made payable to Weber State University
  • Must maintain full-time status and a 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • One-year (2 semester) reduced tuition waiver
  • Students with majors in Dental Hygiene, Nursing or Teacher Education
    programs are not eligible
  • Students enrolled in Distance Learning, contract courses and most      independent study or Study Abroad programs are not eligible

International Students:

International students (students not citizens of the United States) must attend one semester before applying for academic scholarships.  To view the requirements and information for these scholarships, please click the appropriate student information:
