Pre-Podiatry

Students looking to pursue post-graduate degrees in podiatry need to prepare right away to be ready for application to graduate schools.

The following are courses can be taken now, at WSU, that are required or recomended for podiatry school acceptance. Core courses vary between different schools but the following suggested courses will make you more competitive when applying.

• Human Anatomy and Physiology (Zool 2100, Zool 2200)
• Cell Biology (Zool 3200)
• Chemistry (Chem 1210, 1220, 2310, 2320, 3070)
• General Physics (Phsx 2010, 2020 or Phsx 2210, 2220)
• 1-1.5 years English (English 1010, 2010)
• Mathematics (through 1050)
• Genetics (Zool 3300)
• Psychology (Psych 1010)
